Filson overhead filter press, unlike conventional plate and frame presses, is designed with modern recessed plates or membrane plates. It creates a chamber for dewatering the slurry without trapping the cakes within the frames which allows the dewatered cakes to discharge more easily than with traditional plate and frame filter presses.

The filter plates of Filson overhead beam filter press are suspended from an I-beam above the filter press. And a hydraulic cylinder and four rods are adopted to clamp the plates together. When slurry is forced to the chamber between two plates, the solids is accumulated and the filtrate passes through filter cloth mounted on the plate surface.

This Filson overhead filter press is commonly used in applications where larger volumes of materials are being processed. Both plate size and plate quantity can be very large to accommodate the customer’s high processing rates.
