Filson natural gas filter separator is an important equipment in natural gas transmission and distribution system. During the process, to protect flow-meter, regulator and valves from damage potential of solid and liquid impurities. So it must be installed in front of the critical equipment.

In Filson natural gas filter separators, removal of solid and liquid particles takes place gradually. At vessel inlet, larger particles are removed by gravitational effect due to the gas velocity decreasing and by impacting on inner surfaces.

Filson natural gas filter elements trap the smaller solid particles, while liquid droplets coalesce to be removed in the following stage consisting of a leaf unit. The contaminant is collected either in a separate container connected to the filter separator or in the same vessel out of the gas flow.
