Excellent Moving Bed Reactor for Your Application

When Filson moving bed reactor works, granular or lumpy solid reactants or catalysts are continuously added at the top of the reactor. As the reaction proceeds, the solid materials gradually move down and are finally discharged continuously from the bottom.

During the reaction of Filson moving bed reactor, the fluid passes through the solid bed from bottom to top (or from top to bottom) to carry out the reaction. Since there is basically no relative motion between the solid particles, but there is a downward movement of the solid particle layer, therefore, it can also be seen as a moving fixed bed reactor.

Comparing to fixed bed reactors and fluidized bed reactors, the main advantages of Filson moving bed reactors are that the residence time of solids and fluids can be changed in a wide range. The backmixing is smaller (similar to that of fixed bed reactors), and the reaction process can be applied to solids whose material properties change at a moderate rate
